The Cleaning Process

The cleaning process is different, depending on whether it is a maintenance clean or if we’re dealing with a stain.

We always vacuum carpets before we clean. 85% of the dirt in your carpet is dry soil. In other words, it can be removed with a good vacuum. If we did not do this, that 85% of soil would become a mud pie in the bottom of your carpet.

The last 15% is the most difficult. We use our van-mounted hot water extraction machine to deliver a truly deep down clean. We will get most marks out of your carpet and the pile will be given a new lease of life.

Stain Protection Service

Stain protection can be included in our cleaning service to protect your carpet from permanent staining.

Our product coats the fibres with a protective layer that prevents stains from penetrating and binding itself to them. Adding stain protection also provides you with a window of opportunity to get the stain up before it dries.

As stain protection is walked off at a rate of approximately 30% per year and its ability to prevent staining is reduced by that amount also, it needs to be reapplied regularly. We recommend cleaning carpets annually and therefore you have stain protection reapplied annually.
